Welcome to STOP #1 on the Feet on Farms Tour!
We’re kicking things off in the heart of Toronto with a special tour and workshop hosted by the Organic Council of Ontario (OCO) and The Stop Community Food Centre. Join us for an inspiring look at local food, urban farming, and community connections.
This half-day experience offers a unique opportunity to explore what organic and sustainable food systems look like in the city, and to connect with the people growing change—literally—from the ground up.
Event Highlights:
-
Green Barn Tour (12:30–1:00 PM)
A guided walk through The Stop’s urban agriculture hub with Adwoa, showcasing native and pollinator plants, cultural crops, and creative city growing practices. -
Travel + Break (1:00–2:30 PM)
Grab lunch from a nearby vendor or take a break and make your way to our next stop! -
Composting Workshop at Earlscourt Garden (2:30–4:30 PM)
Get your hands in the soil during a tour and hands-on workshop—exploring compost systems, soil health, and community-powered sustainability in action.
Whether you're an OCO member, an urban grower, or simply curious about how food, farming, and community intersect, this event is for you.
Capacity is limited to 15 participants for an intimate, interactive experience.
Price includes Ontario HST (13%) as this is a Canadian event taking place in Ontario.
