Join us for OCO’s World Bee Day Celebration with a special panel discussion, Bee Better Together: Pollinators & Native Plants,” as we explore the vital role pollinators play in sustaining ecosystems—and how native plants help them thrive.

Hosted by Organic Council of Ontario (OCO), this event brings together experts in ecology, native gardening, and sustainable land use to discuss how we can all support pollinators through organic practices and native planting.

Our panel features:

  • Dr. Erica Shelley, Executive Director of OCO, CEO of Best for Bees and Honeybee and Bumblebee Researcher

  • Dr. Liette Vasseur, Professor at Brock University and UNESCO Chair in Community Sustainability, specializing in ecological resilience and biodiversity for the Organic Science Cluster 4 project, as supported by OCO and OFC

  • Crystal Bradford, Co-Owner of Wildlife Gardening, wildlife gardener, landscaper and advocate for pollinator-friendly landscapes

  • Liam Kijewski, Co-Owner of Wildlife Gardening, landscaper, native plant expert and wildlife gardening educator

Whether you're a seasoned organic grower, native plant enthusiast, or just bee-curious, this discussion will offer inspiring insights and meaningful ways to make a difference—one flower at a time.

Come celebrate World Bee Day with OCO and help build a buzz for a healthier, more sustainable future.
