Speaker: Colleen McLaughlin

Colleen’s education includes studies in Toronto at George Brown College, where she majored in graphic design and print production, and marketing law at Ryerson University.

Her professional career includes account executive and art director positions at Toronto advertising agencies, focusing on industrial and food clients.

In 1993, she started her own advertising agency, McLaughlin Creative Communications, which she eventually relocated to Niagara Falls. Colleen has helped many American food processors enter the Canadian marketplace and assisted some Canadian manufacturers enter the U.S., Australian and European markets.

She is well-versed in the Canadian Labeling CFIA Laws, UK Regulatory, and the USFDA new Food and Drug Regulations. In addition, her graphics background makes her familiar with the qualifications necessary to market a product in Canada, UK and the US.

Her clients are quite diverse – ranging from candy to cookies, salad dressings, breads, preserves, jams, jellies, frozen fruit and vegetables; to fish and meat items, most with emphasis on natural and/or organic claims.
